The Baseball Size Polyball Pitching Machines
Lite Flite & Polyball Tutor
The baseball size polyball pitching machines are preferred by some for outdoor batting practice. The bigger ball, while suitable for gymnasiums, is not as suitable for indoor hitting at home as the mini golf ball size polyball.
Throws Lite-Flite baseballs, 11-inch or 12-inch Lite-Flite softballs and JUGS Bulldog baseball and softball size poly balls. Lite-Flite pitches fasballs and curves.

Please Take Note:
The poly ball pitching machines are not toys and should be used with adult supervision.
- The plastic ball, while much safer than a hard ball, can still cause injury.
- Never look into the ball exit opening while the machine is running. The following ball, or a jammed ball could dislodge causing eye injury.
- Never put your fingers inside the ball entrance or exit for any reason while the machine is running.
- Occasionally a ball may not fall properly and may jam in the machine. Always turn the machine off before dislodging the jammed ball(s).

The Mini Polyball Pitching Machines
The Personal Pitcher is a straight pitch (fast ball at four different speeds) mini wiffle ball pitching machine. Top pitch speed is 55 mph.
The Personal Pitcher Pro throws fast balls, curve balls and sliders. The fastballs may be thrown at four different pre-set speeds and the curves and sliders are thrown at one pre-set speed. Top pitch speed is 55 mph.
The Sandlot Slugger has four different pitch speed settings as well as left and righthanded curve settings. Top pitch speed of 60 mph. An optional Turbo Speed upgrade will bring the top speed to 70 mph.
The Crusher Curve throws fastballs and curves. Variable speed control, pitches up to 45 mph. You may throw fast balls and curves at various speeds with this machine. Moving the machine closer or farther from home plate will simulate essentially any pitch speed.
The Grand Slam pitching machine uses air (rather that the two wheel system) to pitch the mini polyball.
Wiffle® ball and Poly ball
The poly ball (or “polyball“), which is used for “live” pitched or machine pitched batting practice, is a fully perforated plastic (i.e. “poly”) ball, and comes in three sizes or circumferences:
- Golf ball size (“mini” 5.5“)
- Baseball size (9”)
- Softball size (11”)
These fully perforated poly balls pre-date the patented “half-and-half” (half solid / half perforated) Wiffle® curve ball. These balls are manufactured by many different companies, including The Wiffle Ball Inc. The patented “half-and-half” Wiffle® curve ball is not used for machine pitching.
The mini polyball machines can be used outdoors or indoors in a basement or garage with the proper set up. They throw fast balls (at various speeds settings) and curves (except the Grand Slam) - from both left and right handed angles.

The Personal Pitcher, Sandlot Slugger, and Grandslam machines are designed to pitch the mini size Wiffle® ball.
The Wiffle® brand polyballs are considered by many to be the best quality balls. In general, they have a thicker wall, which results in longer life and a stronger joint weld than many other brands. They are also considered to be more accurate for pitching machine purposes too.
The Crusher machines will pitch the mini Wiffle® polyball, but best results and accuracy are obtained by using the Trend Sports® specific Fast Crusher Poly-balls. (The Crusher machines are also made to pitch a foam, Soft Crusher Mini Lite ball too.)
