The mini polyball machines will feed a LOT of balls without reloading

Because they use the smaller golf ball size polyball, and they use a hopper to hold the balls, instead of a “magazine” type feed like the bigger ball machines, the mini polyball machines will hold and feed  A LOT of balls before you have to stop and reload.

The Personal Pitcher feeds the balls to the pitching mechanism by the use of a rotating disc, inside the ball hopper, that grabs a ball and carries it to the drop down hole into the housing with the pitching wheels.  The ball hopper on the Personal Pitcher holds 100 balls - which is quite a lot more swings than you will get from a big ball pitching machine.

The Sandlot Slugger, in a similar fashion, utilizes a ball hopper on the top of the pitching machine housing , which holds likewise - 100 balls.  The ball feeder guides the balls down into the “chute”  into the pitching machine housing.

Also see Sandlot Slugger Video.

The feeder is part of the pitching machine with the mini polyball pitching machines - it is not an extra option.  You will have to buy a feeder for the larger ball polyball machines.  The price varies from around $100 or more for this option.  Feeders for baseball pitching machines (that offer the auto feeder option),  can cost two or three hundred dollars.

You can see that the mini polyball pitching machines (Personal Pitcher, Sandlot Slugger, Crusher Curve, and Grand Slam) all have the added benefit of a self contained, part-of-the -machine hopper and ball feeder, which does not cost an extra, and all hold a large amount of balls.  More balls, more swings without the need to stop, pick up the balls and reload.

A pitching machine can either be hand fed by a training partner, or automatically fed with the use of a pitching machine feeder. Automatic ball feeders are handy because they allow a hitter to train solo, without the need for a training partner to feed the pitching machine. Not all pitching machines have an automatic feeder option.
Big ball machines have limited capacity
Pitching machine feeders are limited in the number of balls that they will automatically feed to the machine.  With large baseball machines, a 14 or 18 ball feeder is common place. You will not find a baseball pitching machine feeder  that holds a large quantity of  balls. Fourteen or eighteen pitches and you will be picking up balls and reloading.

The same is true with the baseball size polyball pitching machines. The larger ball machine feeders like Jugs Lite Flite and the Polyball Tutor will hold 14 - 20 balls, depending on the feeder and machine.
FEEDER REMOTE CONTROL

Option

The remote control option allows the batter, or anyone else, to turn the feeder on and off from any reasonable distance. The pitching wheels continue to turn so that when the feeder wheels are turned on the pitch is up to full speed. There is a bypass switch that silences the remote and allows the machine to operate in its standard continuous feed mode without use of the remote. There also is a light on the front of the machine, in addition to the normal pitch light, which indicates if the feeder is on or off.

Automatic ball feeder options are available (or come as part of the machine in the case of the mini polyball pitching machines)
The Grandslam hopper
There are two versions of the Personal Pitcher pitching machine: the Pro model and the Standard model.

Both models throw fast balls at four different selectable speeds.  The Pro model also throws curve balls and sliders.

This machine has a "Pitch Indicator Light", which indicates to the batter that the pitch is about to be released.  You can't find that feature on most baseball pitching machines.

The Sandlot Slugger is a well built hard throwing machine.  It has a top speed of 60 mph, and you can increase it to 70 mph with the Turbo speed option.

This machine also has a "Pitch Alert Light", which notifies that a pitch is about to be delivered.
