The Curve Ball Pitching Machine

A Valueable Batting Practice Tool

Master hitting the curve ball - by hitting curve balls.  If you don’t have a personal batting practice pitcher who will throw you curve balls on demand, the next best thing is a curve ball pitching machine.

How curves are created
Curve ball pitching machines create curves the same way that live pitching does: by spinning the ball.  This gives the hitter the same type of curve action that live pitching does.  Pitching machines use wheels to deliver either equal spin on both sides of the ball (fast balls and straight pitches), or over spin on one side of the ball to create a breaking ball.

Time tested and used by thousands
The two wheel curve ball pitching machine is time tested and used by little league, high school, college and professional teams. Thousands of these machines have been used by all levels of baseball and softball teams and players over the years.

The curve balls that these machines throw are excellent and most of these machines will allow the hitter his choice of curve ball, from a short sharp slider to a big sweeping curve.

The Polyball Curve Ball Machine
You can get the benefits of a two wheel baseball pitching machine in a small mini polyball pitching machine - at a fraction of the price.  Not only is the machine less expensive, but you don’t need the same heavy duty  batting cage that is required with the baseball machine.

Pitch alert and indicator light

The Personal Pitcher Pro and the Sandlot Slugger each have a light on the machine which goes on at a point in the pitching cycle to alert the hitter that a pitch is about to be thrown. Much like the wind up of a pitcher, this device enables the hitter to time the delivery of the pitched ball and prevents the scenario in which the hitter is caught off guard by the delivery of the pitch “out of nowhere”.

Mini Polyball Pitching Machines

The ball feeder will feed balls at 5 different speeds (selectable 3 - 8 seconds).

The Pitch Alert Light insures that the hitter is never caught off guard by the pitched ball.

Strong motors pitch WIffle brand polyballs (50 come with the purchase of the machine) at four selectable speeds 15, 30, 45 and 60mph.  With the Turbo speed option, the machine will pitch up to 70 mph.

Pitches: Fastballs, curve balls, sliders and cutters.

Conclusion
There is a time and place for live pitch curve ball hitting and batting practice, but if don’t have a batting practice pitcher who will throw you curve balls, the next best solution is a curve ball pitching machine.  The polyball curve ball pitching machines offer big machine pitch quality at a fraction of the price.
A perforated polyball pitching machine will allow a hitter to hit - often without a batting cage, because of the limited flight of the ball.  The Wiffle ball brand of polyball is one of the best, but there are other suitable balls used for batting practice. You can even practice hitting - indoors, in a garage or basement with some lightweight netting, using the mini polyball machines, because the ball is so light and the flight is limited.  See My Favorite Indoor Polyball
