Battery Operated Pitching Machines
You Don't Need a Power Supply Nearby or a Generator With a Battery Operated Machine
The most portable of the pitching machines are the battery operated pitching machines. The mini polyball pitching machines are usually battery operated. The Crusher , Personal Pitcher and Sandlot Slugger are battery operated machines. The Grand Slam is not. With the battery operation comes versatility. You can use the machines out in a field or schoolyard where there is no access to an electrical supply.
The Polyball Tutor (DC version) is the one “big ball” machine that comes with an internal re-chargeable battery (two hour). It can also be used with an external battery pack for longer use.

The Personal Pitcher Standard
The batteries
The Personal Pitcher, Crusher and Sandlot Slugger come with an internal, re-chargeable 4 hour battery. The batteries are re-charged by plugging the machine into the AC charger. Typically the batteries will last a few years. Replacement batteries can be purchased (here) if you ever need a replacement.
Extended use batteries
You can get the Crusher in an 8 hour version which utilizes two batteries and extends the machine use for up to 8 hours. The Sandlot Slugger comes in a 7 hour version too.
The big battery packs
The bigger polyball machines can be used with an external battery pack. You can get a battery pack for the Lite Flite machine which allow the machine to work on DC current for approximately 3 hour.
The Polyball Tutor battery pack will extend the use of the machine by several hours.
