polyball batting practice
Develop your hand / eye coordination
Improve your hitting skills
(learn to hit the curve ball and learn to hit the high velocity fast ball)
Set up an indoor or backyard batting cage at home using the Personal Pitcher Pro wiffle ball pitching machine.

Why Polyball?

  • Because polyball batting practice can be done anytime - indoors or outdoors  /  good weather or bad.

  • Because you can master hitting a wide variety of pitches: fast ball, curve ball (left and right handed), change up, sliders.

  • Because you can put together a indoor batting cage or a backyard batting cage at a fraction of the price of baseball batting cage set ups.

  • Because you can purchase a Personal Pitcher pitching machine at a fraction of the cost of a baseball pitching machine.

  • Because you can greatly improve eye / hand co-ordination by hitting the mini size polyball with a small diameter bat

How can it be more effective than baseball batting practice?
The Most Effective Method to
Improve Baseball Hitting
  • Because you will take more batting practice with the polyball.  You are not limited by weather or convenience as with  baseball batting practice.

  • Because you will make more eye / hand co-ordination improvement with the mini polyball and the small diameter bat
All of these questions should be solved with a well informed and well designed  batting practice method.

The golf ball size polyball - known as a mini polyball, challenges the hitter much more than does a baseball . Nothing will get you hitting better and teach you how to improve your batting and hitting skills like mini poly ball batting practice.

One of the best ways to improve hitting "contact" is to take regular batting practice with the small polyballs using a small diameter bat.  After hitting the small polyballs with the small diameter bat, hitting a regulation baseball with a regulation  bat will seem "easy"
If you want to learn to hit the curve ball you must get curve balls in batting practice in order to master hitting them.

How many batting practice pitchers do you know that will throw you curve balls day after day?  You won't find one.

You can learn to hit a fast ball off of a baseball pitching machine but ...  good hardball pitching machines are not cheap, and the big batting cage required for it can be hard to fit into the backyard.

The Personal Pitcher Pro "throws" both left and right handed curves and sliders, as well as fast balls at four different speeds.  It does not require a lot of space and a full batting cage is usually not needed.

NOTE: "Wiffle" is a registered trademark of The Wiffle Ball Inc., located in Shelton, CT.  The founder of the company invented the perforated (half and half) Wiffle ball in 1953. The game of wiffleball which followed from the use of the plastic ball and bat has been a popular backyard game since.

The polyball is a fully perforated ball.  These balls pre-date the Wiffle ball, and are manufactured by many different companies: Easton, Jugs etc... as well as The Wiffle Ball Inc.  The polyballs sold with the Personal Pitcher machines are manufactured by The Wiffle Ball Inc. and are hence "Wiffle balls" yet, they are the generic polyball - not the "half and half" (solid / perforated) type of ball.   See Polyballs link for both Wiffle brand and other brand polyballs, as well as the half and half - " Wiffleball".
